Dearest listener,

This here is a little collection of ten duets, each one for a different pair of instruments. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen. I'd like to dedicate these songs to lazy days, my cat Freyr, procrastination, and Mr. Brad E. Rose. Music is a funny thing. And these songs are certainly no exception. This project began as a way to try and put the last of my polaroid film to good use. It's getting more and more expensive, and harder to find every day! Please take care of yourselves, and of each other.

Peter wrote: "A while back I was asked to make a remix for Midlake, to be possibly included on their EP, and so I did. I made a remix of Roscoe, and basically I made an entirely new song underneath and only kept the original vocals. And well, for a variety of reasons the remix never got used for anything, so then Simon at Bella Union suggested that I just record my own vocal for the song and make it a cover, and so I did, and now it will be on this 7 inch!"

David and Peter had teamed up for a project called 'Collude' and had recorded an album. According to David, Type asked Peter not to release the record because they had numerous releases scheduled, so most of the songs that were recorded for the Collude album were used on the Library Tapes album 'A Summer Beneath the Trees', with two of the tracks on the 'Fragment' ep.

Dearest listener.

Home is a collection of songs recorded within a month's time at the turning of the year into 2008. Firstly I would like to thank the kind souls who allowed me to use their space to record and sleep in as I made this album - my mother, my father, my sister, the Crockett family, and Efterklang. Thank you for giving me a home. And secondly I would like to thank Mads for his amazing ears and input in the mixing process. I was raised to appreciate simple folk music, and here I make a nod to that world by focusing on two instruments that have always been very close to me - guitar and voice. I would like to dedicate these songs to all of the people I've been lucky enough to create music with throughout the years, each of them teaching me something different about music and sounds - my family, Adam Selzer, Dave Depper, Ritchie Young, Justin Ringle, Rachel Blumberg, Laurel Simmons, Laura Gibson, Matt Ward, Alex James, Jonathan Drews, Nick Jaina, David Wenngren, Rutger Zuydervelt, Nate Crockett, Branic Howard, Casey Deinel, Tom Hegerman, everyone in Efterklang, and the many, many others.
